TES Entry of Indian Army!

What is the TES entry of Indian Army?

TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme. This is one of the direct entries of the Indian Army wherein the candidates need not appear for a written competitive examination. Here the candidates are shortlisted by the Service Selection Board(SSB) based on the candidates performance in the class 12 examination. All the reputed boards of the country are accepted.

For those who want to join Indian Army via TES, physics and mathematics is compulsory contrary to the requirements of NDA where students of all the streams can apply.

Candidates need to fill the form and in order to do so keep always keep a check on the official sites of the armed forces and they can even keep a check on other private sites that deal with defence stuff. 

Now let us see who are the candidates who get shortlisted by the SSB. Candidates who score aggregate 70% marks in PCM and now a days even JEE Mains has been made mandatory.

I know you will be kin to know which branches are allotted to the cadets who join different army engineering colleges via TES. So as the name suggests such cadets are given the responsibilities of technical work like signals, artillery, armoured core and since you will be trained for technical issues you will be doing some sort of technical work in your respective corps or regiments.

Let me make it clear to you that if their are vacancies remaining you can also go for a combat role. But there are hardly any vacancies left for combat role for TES graduates because they are already occupied by NDA cadets.

But let me tell you technical work is as important as the combat role because without technology and proper equipment even combatants can't fight and what more you want when you get to wear the OLIVE GREEN uniform. Like NDA this entry also assures you permanent commission.
