PARA SF No need to justify the title in this blog as you all must be aware of the advertisement published by Indian Army to attract the youth wherein Major Praful Kumar from the PARA SF is heard asserting "We don't exist so that you can." Chaul Again

Image
It all started in October 2024, we planned a full fledged trip to Gokarna as per our examination time table, which was then disrupted because of the sudden change in the timetable of our examination, all because of the state elections but nevertheless we decided to keep our plan active on some other dates in the same vacation, but it was frantically opposed by one of  our group members for some reason, though this story has a sad starting, it has a better ending (not a happy ending, I would say, but okay).  Chaul Since now we had to change our plan, we decided to visit Chaul again (Wait Again: Yes we had also visited in 2022, not blogged though it is well documented in a reel 😉). So lets move ahead, we all decided to go by  boat because boats dropped us at Mandwa Jetty and we had to visit the historic "Kankeshwar" temple dedicated to Lord Shiva built by  the then ruler "Raja Ramdeorai Yadav" of the Yadava dynasty in the 12th or 13th Century. The experience was abso...

Sthanak meri Manzil!!!

More appropriate title to this blog would have been "Home to Station". This is probably the first blog related to my personal experiences. This is being written in response to an order passed by my poetic and blogging and defence mentor about six months ago. So basically I live in Panvel, my college is in Bandra. Three kilometres from my house is the Panvel station and from their forty five Kilometres away is my college. From station my college is about 1.6 km away. Readers be like: Ye wala Panvel, ye wala?  Me: Ha bhai ha aur koi hai hi nahi duniya mein..... So let us continue.  Generally on regular college days I use share rickshaw to reach the Panvel Railway station. They charge Rs. 20 per seat. Usually our lectures used to start by 9.30 A.M. in the morning. So I used to take the 7.39 direct Goregaon train (Maa kasam jannat hai yar baithne mila toh!). Let all that be aside. Let us come back to our rickshaw. So whenever I go in an auto the three seats behind if occupied by ...

Garud Commandos Motto Prahaar se Suraksha meaning Defence by Offence Formation and Governing Body The Garud Commando Force is a special force of the Indian Airforce. It was formed in 2003 in order to protect the air bases of the country. It was important to protect the air bases as two major bases had been attacked by the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in 2001. Earlier it was thought that the Indian Army would provide protection to the air bases but then it was realized that the Indian Army troops had to be mobilized as per the army's requirements. The Garud commandos were first seen or they unveiled themselves publicly at Air Force day celebrations in 2004. The Garud Commando Fore is a part of the Indian Air force which comes under the Ministry of Defence, GOI.  Training and Selection The Garuds are trained on the same lines as Indian Army's para commandos and the MARCOS of the Indian Navy.
